For many businesses this is already a completely normal way of working. Now there's a concrete opportunity that's available to you too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 31 March a grant scheme was launched offering between 3 and 12 million HUF in support for digital development, with no need for a complicated system or a huge own contribution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Very few funding sources like this have opened recently, so those who act now can gain a serious advantage over those who miss out. Most people don't apply because they think it's complicated, time-consuming or \u201cnot for them\u201d. In reality, the basic steps really take only minimal time, and it becomes clear right at the start whether it's worth pursuing at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this article I show exactly what this grant is about, who it's for, and how you can use it to develop your own business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What exactly is this grant?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">THE <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palyazat.gov.hu\/programok\/szechenyi-terv-plusz\/dimop-plusz\/dimop_plusz-1.2.6b-26\/dokumentumok\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.palyazat.gov.hu\/programok\/szechenyi-terv-plusz\/dimop-plusz\/dimop_plusz-1.2.6b-26\/dokumentumok\">DIMOP Plusz 1.2.6\/B-26<\/a> aims to increase the digital maturity of businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the grant, IT developments can be funded, for example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>introducing software and digital services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>using online systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>purchasing equipment (laptop, monitor, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>services related to digital operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The amount of support can be between 3 and 12 million HUF, and it is a non-repayable grant, with a minimum own contribution of 10%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Application period:<br>31 March 2026 to 30 June 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is the DIMOP Plusz 1.2.6\/B-26 grant for?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This grant isn't for everyone, but for those who qualify, it's a particularly good opportunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Basic conditions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Businesses can apply if they:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>qualify as micro or small enterprises<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have at least 1 closed business year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>operate in Hungary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It's important to note that this isn't for start-ups, but for businesses that are already operating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Regional restriction: Budapest excluded<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the most important conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">the project cannot be carried out in Budapest<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This means that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>if your company's registered office, site or office is outside Budapest \u2192 you can apply<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>if you only have a Budapest address \u2192 you don't qualify<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The grant specifically supports less developed regions, so practically the whole of Hungary except Budapest<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Digital maturity: specifically for those \u201clagging behind\u201d<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the conditions of the grant is that the business has a low digital level, measured with an official assessment system<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In practice this means you have a good chance of qualifying if:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>you don't have a proper website<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you have one, but it's outdated or doesn't bring in clients<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you don't have a CRM or don't work with systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a lot of things are done manually<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who can't apply?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most important exclusions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>companies carrying out certain agricultural activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>those who have already received support for a similar development in recent years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>those whose project doesn't fit digital development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deadlines: this is critical<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Application period:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2026\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>31 March to 30 June 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note that the call may close earlier if the budget runs out, so it's not worth waiting until the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Amount of support<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>minimum: 3 million HUF<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>maximum: 12 million HUF<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>own contribution: at least 10%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What can the support be used for?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim of the grant is digital development, so the support is tied to that too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In practice this means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>your own website or developing an existing website<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>building a webshop<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>online communication and customer management systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>cloud-based services<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>digital marketing basics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The grant also lists having its own website as a separate development goal for the business, so this is a completely relevant direction<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How does a website fit in here?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many people think you can't apply for funding for a website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In fact you can, just not as a standalone goal, but as part of digital development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A website is one of the easiest developments to justify, because it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>provides an online presence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>supports client acquisition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>helps digitalise operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For most businesses, this is the point where significant progress can already be made on its own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does the process look like in reality?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assessing your digital status<br>They look at what level your company is currently at.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Defining development goals<br>You have to commit to several digital development goals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Putting the application together<br>A professional justification and cost plan are prepared.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submission and evaluation<br>Decisions are made in a simplified procedure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implementation<br>This is where the work is carried out, for example building the website.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where do most people slip up?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Based on practical experience, the most common mistakes are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the project isn't structured well<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>there's no alignment between the application and the implementation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>they try to force solutions in afterwards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>they treat the grant writer and the contractor separately<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This grant isn't just admin, it's also a strategic question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What's worth doing now?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you're considering this grant, the first step isn't submitting it, but thinking through:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>your company's current digital status<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>what you actually need<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and how this can be
