Elementor FAQ Schema Error – Solution by Disabling Element Caching

The solution (short version)

If you use it in Elementor Accordion widget for FAQ section, but the Google suddenly doesn't detect answers, then it is probably Element Caching function is causing the problem.

What should you do?

  1. Open the Elementor editor.
  2. Click on Accordion to the item.
  3. Go to Advanced (Special) tab.
  4. Find the Element Caching option.
  5. Turn off (Inactive)
  6. Save the page, clear the cache, and then request reindexing in Google Search Console.

This will allow Google to recognize your FAQ schema data again and display it correctly in the results.

How did I find the error?

I built a website for one of my clients in October and everything worked fine until February. Google recognized the FAQ section nicely, the Rich Results test was flawless, and organic traffic was growing steadily. Then one day, Google Search Console sent me a warning that the FAQ section is not appropriate because the answers are missing.

At that moment I already suspected that something was wrong, because I didn't change anything on the page. There was no update, no plugin change, no server problem. Analytics data also showed that everything was running normally, so it was quite annoying that the FAQ schema content processed by Google disappeared overnight.

I tried the usual steps:

  • Clear Elementor cache
  • Google Search Console reindexing
  • FAQ widget reset
  • Manually inserting JSON-LD schema

Nothing worked. I was starting to get a headache because I had looked through all the videos and documentation but couldn't find a solution. Then finally a thousand-year-old WordPress forum I found a comment where someone was struggling with a similar error. The key was turning off Element Caching.

After I turned this off, the page was immediately restored and Google recognized the responses in the JSON-LD code again.

How can you find the right solution if you have no idea what the error is?
